What a wonderful web page.

I have just found that my great-great-great Grandmother was born in Dursley in 1803 and it was really wonderful not only to be able to get a bird's eye view of the town as it is today but to get an idea of what it must have been like from the old postcards.

It's a long way back but I'm trying to trace Eliza born in 1803 and by 1861 married to ? Share (probably William) in Stourbridge. I don't know his name or birthplace as Eliza was a widow by the time of the 1861 census and I haven't been able to trace any marriage details so far.

I'll come and visit when I make my "family tree" visit to England.

My family came to Perth from Wolverhampton in the early 1950s as part of the post war migration to Australia and although I have wanted to research family history for years, and indeed came back to live in England for several years on an extended working holiday, it is only now, with wonderful web sites like yours that it is becoming more practical and so very interesting.

Congratulations on producing such an good website.
