Regret SH work has held up this. Have masses of info & 100s of images to web inc back to 1830 & 3kB.C. Will be keen to link to you. Can meet you to view some prints etc. We first met at Mawdsley's demolition. Your efforts - brilliant! J.

Does anyone have a copy of the LMS rating plan for Dursley railway station?

Very interesting site. I lived in Cam (Summerhayes) between 1963 and 1977 and my parents are still there. My interest in the history of the place has been reawakened by following the correspondence in the Gazette about Dursley Castle - I wrote a letter referring to the old tower at Norman Hill that I used to play in in the late 1960s. Any idea as to what it might be and when it was first erected? Now under the Norman Hill housing estate. Regards and keep up the good work.

Superb site - excellent shots of Mawdsley's - have worked there for a few years with Rich - I didn't realise there were so many old photos still in existence.

Great site. I lived in Dursley for five years 74-80 and used to enjoy the many walks up Stinchcombe Hill with fantastic views over the Severn. Is the pub at Waterley Bottom still going strong?

Yes, The New Inn at Waterley Bottom is still a favourite watering hole. A few pints gives you strength to climb the hill on the way back to Dursley!

Can anyone help me get hold of good copies of two photographs.? They are: An aerial photo of Listers and Dursley Railway station in 1929. This appears in a Dursley history book and I'm interested in this one because I think that it shows my house under construction. The second is of the Dursley railway sidings in about 1920/30s and appears in a Dursley history book and Peter Smith's Dursley branch book. Please contact me if you have copies of either of these photos. Thanks.

I really enjoyed this site even though I haven't left the area. It was very interesting. I enjoyed the photos, both past and present.
