I have received a response from Jeff Dyer at EH this evening, and assuming its not another false hope, the news is good:

"Just to say that R.Thompson & Son are on site doing preparatory work prior to re-hanging of the fantail. In this regard, the crane should arrive on site on the 19th April in order to carry out this operation. The stocks, clamps and main sails will be returning to site by low loader during the following week. I will advise you when the main sails are to be re-hung nearer the time."

Be good if any Broads locals could verify this with photos! - a good pair of binoculars from Burgh Castle fort/marshes would do the trick as well!

Will post any further info if it comes. smile
