Does anyone know what is happening to the Berney Arms pub and the café in the building just upstream of the pub. All looks deserted at present.

The shelter blew down in the strong winds. Hopefully there will be a replacement soon.

The mill is closed to the public while it undergoes maintenance and will be closed till further notice

Please note the Berney Arms Mill will not be open during April and the first opening day will be Sunday 14th May

Some lines will never re-open because the track was never preserved and built-on! Examples of trackbeds retained are Halewood Triangle to Aintree will be reinstated within the next 10 years under Merseytravel, the Integrated Transport Authority for Liverpool. The trackbed is presently used as a Sustrans Cycle Track. Platforms of some stations are still intact. Great Yarmouth should have retained its trackbeds for future use, such as for light rail transit systems.

The Berney Arms Inn was due to be auctioned on 9th June. This has now be postponed till 27th July.

There is no vehicular access. There are 4 trains each way to berney on a Sunday so you could have a good day out.you can also walk there from gt yarmouth or reedham. Plenty of mooring places near the mill.
