A Cheltenham Journeyman Tailor

Post by MIKE LEWIS »

William Smith a Tailor was baptised at St.John's Gloucester in 1820 he lived in Duke Street Cheltenham with his wife Eliza and died in Cheltenham in 1905.
There were several children Kate Smith married Robert Bridges in 1860 a Cheltenham Baker who had a business in Cheltenham.
Would any one know of this family and could this William have been a son to James Smith Tailor from Cam who later in his life became a Dursley Ropemaker and who died in Dursley in 1866 James married Ann Lucas a daughter of James and Ann married into the Harding Rope making family of Dursley.
