The old Manor House off Drake Lane
Between 1968 and 1972 I was a pupil at Cam House School off Drake Lane in Dursley, county of Gloucestershire. I was a full time boarder, and I was situated in what was called the 'Old House' which was probably the oldest building on the site. I have long been curious about that building, of its origins and the people (before my time) who once lived there. Can anyone please help me to solve this mystery ?

According to a Dursley Gazette of November 1886, Cam House is advertised as being let as a hunting lodge at 10 guineas a month by Mr F A Vincent. It had 12 rooms and stabling for 5 horses.

Thank you Andy. Your input is much appreciated. I am an amateur when it comes to research, and I would not know how to access the kind of information that your sleuthing produced, let alone how to find it!
