Re Norman Hill house, Cam I was one of the boys who used to swim in the tanks by the croft. I remember someone had cut the fence so we could get in as the gate was locked, but thinking back on it now it was very dangerous as there were pipes under the water so you had to be careful.

Hi Andy Just returned from a weekend visit to Dursley and was very saddened to see that there are not many of the old pubs left in town,my favorite haunt was The Cross Keys and on to the Kingshill inn but alas both have now closed and also the kings head is closing as a pub,its very sad, The Old Spo...

Dear Andy Just joined this site and it's really good. I too was born in Kingshill Park Nursing home in 1946 and only this weekend after putting flowers on Mum and Dad's grave I was going to have a look for the home, but was told it is now just a normal house. Thanks once again as no one believed me ...
