I remember the fish ponds there. The band stand was still being used. Best of all was the smell of Steel's bread opposite baking

Grand Father served his apprenticeship at the Pederson Works. He went on to Mawdsley's when the Cycle works closed. I have some original pics of him in the works.

Hi Yes I remember Jimmy and Stan. I worked in the machine Shop at Mawdsleys, during the 70's. Jim was on the Maintenance and maintained the machine tools as amongst many other tasks. I purchased a guitar from Jim, my Grandson is learning to play on it now. Stan used to work on the small Herbert caps...

Ernie was my Grandfather, Jim my Father.

It would be great to see any old photos.

I can remember Ernie stopping at the Cam level crossing, he used to give me 2 shillings to spend.

It was a very hard life!
